do teenagers really need mobiles??
as the mobile phones are so widely appeared in our daily life. someone said it would be cool if you didn't have a mobile phone nowadays.it might be true to some extent.but as for an adult,mobile means contact.it connect ur work,ur relatives,friends etc.it should do a great deeds for us.
months ago,my uncle gave his dear son a handphone.cause my nephew's school is far from his home.he can only come back to once a term. and the handphones haven't been so expensive yet.
someone has criticized the young people for playing mobiles,but not using. they were fond of sending messages,taking picture and so on.they bought expensive ,high level and fashion types for showing. they play on the mobiles day in and day out....holy cow
so,what happens to youngsters around u ??do they have a handphone? what do they use it for?do u think it's necessary for teenagers who are still in school to have a handphone?

the mobiles get cooller and cooller day by day...
my mobile i bought years ago has been outdated.but it still works very well. i don't know weather i should change it for fashion~~

Mobile phones are only a tool for communication purpose.

In my view, mobile phones are only a tool for communication purpose. Just like any other tools which have the potential to be abused and misused.
Personally, I can see young people using it for security reason, emergency purpose, etc...
If the parents can afford paying big phone bills for their kids, well, that's their bunsiness..like the old saying goes "live and let live"

i have stopped using my mobile for quiet a long time ,because it costs me a lot of money every month . As a student ,most of us do not have enough money.
it is not necesssary for teenagers to have mobile phones.

my personal opinion:
the under 18 yeas old teenagers are not suit to use moilphone,
since during this age ,they have much school work to do ,
further more the learning is very important for them .
after graduating from middle school,they go to university to learn ,comparatively,
they will have more free time during this time.
i mean they can do what they want ,as long as that can make use of it effectively,
in university ,there more space for them to develop,so
i support that ,developing it freely is vital,the mobilphone is essential for communication among old friends ,
teachers,social vip,
it is just a channel of chating ,in my mind, it depends how you utilize it,ok?

my view: mobile is necessary, because he is out ! if u want to find him immediately,what will u do ? give him a call ,right? if the teacher want to give some timely message ,what will she do ? give hime a call! if he do not have a mobile , something will be changed!!!!!!

yep,, not only is it a useful modern communicated tool,,but also a wonderful toy. it contains MP3,MP4,photo taking,video taking,dictionary and so on..so,if u've bought such a kind of mobile, then u don't need to buy mp3/mp4. and u can takes photos anytime ,anyhow

It would be extreme to not allow them to have one since our market world seems to convey a message that your a 'loser' if you aint got a cell phone. It's rather cruel of the marketers however the benefits for this accessory/tool outweighs the 'bad'. If you allow the young ones to have one please teach them to use it in moderation and do not play with it all day because it undoubtedly can be a distraction by every mean.

From psychological perspective, teenagers are more likely to be relaxed or pleasure oriented. They would like to make something different. Purchasing brands that are considered "COOL" is important to them. They want others to like and admire themselves, and sometimes, even exaggerate their own personality to show off. This can be seen as a kind of psychology during this certain range of age.
Currently, people should tend to be more sociable, age should not be seen as a barrier for teenagers to own their phones. They also need to set trends on the social circuit. But, here parents should play important role in controlling their children about how to use the phones more properly.

Mobile phone is just one tool for everyone ,and we more and more feel this kind of tool is convenient.
Many adults think students using mobile phones may affect their studies . it needs to give them correct direction, like internet ,it¡¯s convenient ,if give students correct direction ,it will be a good tool .

the key point is money. if u have enough money to buy a mobilephone and pay for the bills, then u get one and needed to consider suitable or unsuitable.

Personally, I don't think a student should a mobile phone. It is terribly to inmagine when a proffesor was in a class, talking happily to a large audience , when suddenly, you heae the sound of mobile phone here and there. The lecture will spoiled by the sound .
My dear fellows , to respect yourself and others , you had better turn off your mobile phone or set it into vibration.

The school could just create a policy to disenable Cell phone usage when inside classrooms. If the policy is violated then take away their cell phones and if any students rebel...just show them the policy. These are students, they should understand what reasoning and thinking things in logic means.
If you can afford a cell phone then why not.

Something from a new worker
Well, I feel motivated to put something now. As for the mobile phone, I hold basically a denied attitude to this issue.
I have been a student 4 years ago embracing a great aspiration in heart and having a passionate emotion to everything in the world. During that time, only a tiny number of my schoolmates have mobilephone, which as a luxurious thing for most people was expeced to get by everyone. But I had one . It's a glorious mark of my unique identity for me . Ever since getting that mobile phone, I had got much glimpse with pleasing jealousness. In fact, it was utilized so less then. When I really had to call somebody, I would turn to public telephone in order to save some money. I feel shame about my behavior when I have to recall them now.
Nowadays, I have embarked on a road of surgeon for 4 years. The mobile have become virtually a indispensable part of my life. It would be very dangerous if they couldn't get in touch with me ,which was usually by the very designated mobile phone .
What is my experience meant to imply?

Notice how the topic implies "Do Teenagers" ...you have failed to read the question before answering. I know kids that are age 10 now that have cell phones for easier access to contact their parents. If it is used in that respect then I see nothing wrong with a 'teenager' being able to handle that kind of self-control. However the schools must create a policy that can co-exist with the use of cell phones. To competely abolish cell phone use among teenagers would be a complete waste of time because the 'marketers' for the cell phone companies has already done the 'damage' and influence.

It is ok for them to have one as long as they are not using it to compare with each other. A cheap one with good communication function is enough.
