dear friends , maybe we all met before , now i want to study some fixed phrases becausee i found it is very important for understanding english articles , so i invite all of you to write down those phrases used by yourselves in the past. don't hesitate to post it even though you only know one phrase. thanks in advance. i think we must make a rapid progress here if you can join us. these phrases collected by me for you sharing .

Since I don't read (or speak) Chinese I have no idea what those characters mean. Tell me the literal translation of some idioms and phrases. Here are some others.

I was interested if there are similar idioms in Chinese

1. where's the fire--- a statement made to someone doing something too hurriedly. In other words -slow down you don't have to rush like a fireman
2 You scratch....   -You do something for me and I'll do something for you
       usually implies slightly illegal favors or bribes
3 big deal  --sarcastic comment meant to beliitle someone's boast. for     example I say to you when I'm visiting China  " I speak Chinese, I can say
           hello and goodbye"  Your reply might be "two words, big deal"
4 awesome- teenager word for great, very good, impressive
5 dude- teenager talk for a guy referring to a guy friend. "what's up dude,
    we gonna meet some chicks tonight" This is a fairly old word that
    originated with surfers in California
