小孩的满月酒用英语怎么说？

查了很多资料显示，满月酒在英文中的说法叫baby shower，但在国外这个party是在小孩出生前，不知道该怎么说

1.我前天参加了朋友小孩的满月宴。  该怎么翻译才好？

You can search for 满月 in this forum.

From post with tid=558637:

"Man Yue" for babies is basically an Asian concept

Google results, most of which are from Asia sites:

126 for "full-month baby"
1,440 for "full-month celebration"
1,400 for "full-month party"

Since Westerners don't have this tradition, it's up to us to coin a concise term for this purpose.  "Full-month" and "one-month" should both be acceptable, I think.

i have two questions:
1. what is the mean of "Since Westerners don't have this tradition, it's up to us to coin a concise term for this purpose" .how to translate it in chinese.

洋人没有满月酒的习俗，所以没有相应的说法，因此我们可以为他们创造一个。
