You can audit a class, but you would sit in on a meeting.

attend the meeting as observers
to sit in on the meeting
旁听,是不是类似于“列席”?参见:

就是列席,觉得sit in on the meeting不错。

The space station orbits the earth every 90 minutes at an altitude of 360 kilometres and travels at a speed of 8 kilometres a second.
And the flight path is different for each orbit.
So the chances of shooting the Great Wall area are "maybe
once every few days and only during daylight every three months."
Since late March, Chiao has had just one opportunity to fly over the Great Wall, but the weather was dodgy.
He has one last chance before he is scheduled to land in Kazakhstan on April 25 - and he will be keeping a sharp lookout.
what does the red sentence mean?
question: One can get a chance to see the Great Wall from space station_______.
A. every few days
B. only once every three months
C. only when it is in daylight
D. only when the weather is dangerous.
the suggested answer is C. I don't know why? would somebody give me some help? thanks!

Reply #7 vaokkk's post - probably should start your own thread
OK that's one messed up sentence.
Anyway, there are three conditions listed in that sentence. The opportunity occurs every three months, it occurs in daylight only and when it occurs it occurs once every few days. All three must be true for the Wall to be seen.
So A is out because it's true only every third month.
B is out because it happens more than once every 3rd month (so if December is a 3rd month it will happen once every few days... maybe twice a week for that month).
C is true because whether or not you have the month right or the day right it is still only going to happen during daylight.
D is just wrong.

You don't say!
What occurs every three months?
But the correct answer is obvious: no matter how often you fly over it, you can't see the Great Wall from space unless it is in daylight.

jimmy--audit DOES NOT mean to listen but rather than verify & examine important documents (don't mix up with the prefix); especially finacial statements & usually accounting firms do the auditing
