I want to write diary everyday, but I encounter a big problem on my first step, I dont know how to translate
"阴转雨"concisely. can you help me with it? thanks in advance.

cloudy with a shower/rain

shower = brief and lighter rain

if precipitation is heavier and continuous, then use rain.

VERY BAD TRANSLATIONS 真的错的翻译
"overcast becoming clear" ---> this sounds unnatural, partly because of the 'ing' ending, which implies that the process of becoming clear is still continuing. Also, it was turning rainy anyway.

"Overcast skies turn clear today" ---> there's nothing technically wrong with this sentence, apart from that it sounds unnatural unless one has previously been talking about the overcast skies. Again, 雨 means rain, not "clear".

"Early clouds give way to sunshine" ---> fine, except for that it was raining.

BETTER, BUT STILL QUITE BAD TRANSLATIONS 更不错，可是挺不好的翻译

"Cloudy, with a shower/rain" ---> implies that it was rainy and cloudy simultaneously, which is not the meaning of 阴转雨。

"The cloudy turns to be rainy"----> this is just no good: it's funny, though!

"Cloudy to rainy" ---> no. This just sounds wrong, can't tell you why.

Possible Good English translations

"Cloudy, later rain"
"Overcast, later rain"

These are the only two normal ways of expressing this that I could think of.
