In the US we'd order food as either "for here or to go" or "to eat here or to go." So you can ask for something "to go."
A "doggy bag" is what you want after you've eaten in a restaurant and have some leftovers to take home. It's OK to just ask for a "box" as well.
"Doggy bags" are an interesting cultural thing. Americans ask for them all the time (except maybe at business meals) but, apparently, the practice is frowned upon (or worse, looked on with horror) by Europeans. We'd have to ask the Dutch contingent (
pendragon
et al.
) or
valéryb
for their opinionsm to confirm.

delayed gratification?
I see you are having the same problem -- a post seems to disappear after submission, so you submit it again, with the same result.
Then some time later they both reappear.
If you try to delete one of them, you'd get "post_edit_moderate".

Exactly. I was going to ask you about it via PM but, well, now I don't have to.
Thanks,
jl
!
I asked one of the mods about it but so far no answer.
This problem is "worse" than the "curfew."
Gosh, guys at CD, if you can't get your BBS to work right, how can…? [fill in your own exasperated question here]
It's not rocket science.

Hm, at first I thought our network administrotor had "intervened". I cannot find my post after I click the Submit button. Yeah, it is worse than before. I could fix this problem by clicking the Refresh button before, but now it doesn't work.

Very frustrating. Well, I'll try writing to the mods tomorrow (it's late here now) and report back. Others can feel free to write also, of course.
I hope they can resolve this problem soon.

I've heard people use
doggy-bag
as a verb.
BTW, this latest curfew buffer I've been seeing could be a new filtering algorithm, and I doubt the mods could do anything about it.

帮我翻译一下这句话吧
Some Muslims and Christians consider an angel figure worshipped by Yazidis to be the devil, a charge the sect denies.
主要是最后这个“charge ”怎么理解呢

That occurred to me also.
Even more frustrating!
(Well, it seems, though, that the delay is short, at least in the few times I've experienced it.)

Looks like the filtering program is at work during the day now. I have lost quite a few postings, and the ones that come back took several hours. This is getting very frustrating.
If they don't fix the problem we should all leave!!!
Any suggestion, guys?
