I'm wronged!
you wronged me!
I'm a scapegoat!
you misjudged me!
I'm innocent!

Could this be (mis)understood as "You heard me wrong"?
I think 冤枉 as a verb is pretty hard to translate... "frame" seems a bit too strong to me and perhaps implies a more calculated action.
Of course, it won't be complete or fair without me throwing in mine for some serious flogging:
1. You wronged me.
2. You accused me wrong.
3. That was libel.
4. That was a slander on me.

NO.
I meant just that. It is a very common phrase used in the past many years. All the above are statements and are not said, except "you did me wrong" which meant you did something bad to me.

Just to make sure I understand the Chinese, I look up google:
约有3,770项符合你冤枉我you got me wrong的查询结果,以下是第1-10项 (搜索用时 0.56 秒)
I think there is a difference between what the Cantonese used and what the mandarin dialect speakers used.

Are you saying that "You got me wrong" cannot mean "you heard/read me wrong"? I am confused as ever. And by "statements" do you mean they are too formal (not colloquial)?

I never heard this in movies, I think "you set me up" means "you fooled me".

i strongly support "i was setted up"
because in the TV show"Prison Break ",Scoldfield's elder brother_linkon always said "someone sets me up"
Obviously he is innocent
