All these high maintenance women make me nervous. In my days, we never buy rings for weddings. This ring-buying idea must be from the west. However, in the west, you are supposed to EXCHANGE rings. The couple go out and select rings together.

Anyway, smart women will do her best to support her husband rather than holding grudge against him for such little things. Aren't there more important things you can worry about in your life? Come on, all the asset is shared by two of you. If he buys something for you, he gets it from the pool shared by both of you. You would be much better off if you can do a good financial planning for the whole family. Squandering money is the worst thing you can do for your family, especially when the economy is not going well.

Buy a ring yourself and show it to your hunsband,Maybe he would feel shame,After that ,he will unstand how to love his wife!

Most men do not understand the significance of a ring in women's eyes. We can think in what we think are more practical terms. Somehow you need to get him to understand why it is important to you. This is only one of many instances where you may have to remind him that women and men think differently but when two people love each other something like this can not be ignored

it does not really mean so much to me

one day i get married,i want a big ring, which i told my bf about , he confused why i wanted a big ring, a common one was good enough. hehe, i clearly know that he does not have much money now so he said like that.
However, even if wihout a ring, i still know that he loves me so much and i will say ‘yes' in my wedding to him.
sometimes, love is just 'the wedding ring' itself which witnesses our love.

Think about it on the other hand.

As I know,the wedding ring is a kind of durance.
Maybe your husband doesn't want you be in durance.
The real love don't need a ring to be the promise.
And I have heard a story that A nice couple breaked their marriage when they got a pair of rings.
Because the man don't like the feeling of the ring.

Sherry is not a material girl, and I am not advocating materialism here.

A marriage ring in the wedding is a necessary part of the marriage ritual, not material luxury.  Sherry has already said, and I believe many women will agree that, the ring does not have to be expensive, but there has to be a ring.

However, I understand that many women have to accept unsatisfactory marriages and unsatisfactory husbands.  If you have other choices, choose again; if you don't, love yourself first in the marriage because your husband apparently doesn't care about your feelings much.

To be honest,many people don`t have la ring when they get married.There were a many kind of reason.Maybe he want to buy a real diomond ring for you but he can`t.Maybe he want to told you what he love you but he don`t have a ring.A man,don`t want to buy a cheap ring for the woman who he love.
I think that the ring isn`t improtant because love isn`t expressed the ring.

If you think it is important to you,and it has effect your marrage life .Just tell him what you thought in your mind directly .The emtions between husband and wife is most clsoely relations .I think he can and every man can do that thing to make his wife happy.Communicate with him ,know his real reasons have a person-to-person discussion .In a word ,don't let this thing to be a big problem in the future.

I didn't get a wedding ring either.

My husband told me that he can't afford a ring and i have to wait before one day in the future he can have enough money to buy one for me. Do you believe it?

If he is concerned about money ask him to buy an inexpensive one now. When there is more money you can then both decide how to spend it.

sometimes just as what you have said ,some girls do not want a wedding ring when they get married ! You are who you are ,just be yourself ,then you will have a real happy life with your husband ! To tell him what you want is just a ring ,nomatter what kind of material it make of ! I feel that he will bought one for you and with the words of regret!
