I want to recommend the 《the city in the sky》(天空之城) to you, a Japanese catoon film which is directed by Miyazaki(宫琦 竣). It's prety good, especially the theme song, very sweety.

Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon
"Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon".
This has to be the best 'Chinese Hollywood' made film ever!
It is a little too talky at the beginning, but the the superb sword fight scenes soon follows; by the two gorgeous girls, Michelle & ?? made up for the initial boredom.
I have replayed the disk at least 10 times over.
The audio must be set to a Chinese dialect - English speak just don't work in these period settings (OK for Jacky Chan's films - also very entertaining I must add).

Equilibrium
Equilibrium is a 2002 science fiction/action film written and directed by Kurt Wimmer, starring Christian Bale, Taye Diggs, Angus MacFadyen, Sean Pertwee, Emily Watson, David Hemmings and Sean Bean.
I loved this movie although it did terrible at the box office and didn't get very good reviews. I liked it because I thought the idea was good. It's takes place after World War three and people began to realize that the next war would wipe out Humanity, So a new society is born that uses drugs and teaching to leach all emotion out of people. In this new world there is no war, envy, greed or any bad emotion. The only problem is that there is no good emotions either. Everything that can bring even the slightest emotion is banned. At one point of the movie the famous painting The Mona Lisa is even burned.
My favorite part of the movie is when Christian Bale is forced to shoot his best friend ( Christain Bale at the time does not even know that it is his best friend becasue he has no emotions yet) Because his best friend would not stop reading a book of Poems by Yates.
Then Christian Bale who is also the greatest Gun Kata cleric in the movie, by accident runs out of pills and for some reason does not refill his dose. The next morning he awakens to his first sunrise with emotion. From then on he refuses to ever take another pill and joins the resistence.

The Postman (film)
The Postman is a 1997 film adaptation of the award-winning post-apocalyptic-themed novel of the same name, written in 1985 by author David Brin.
This did very badly at the box office but is one of my favorite all time Sci Fi movies.
