The word "double" should be replaced with "doubt"

I've a question. i'm not familiar on economics.

Is 'rice fot instance' bought by government from farmers? Is that a good thing for farmers?
generally, no.  Depends what kind of prices the government will pay the farmer, typically it is far less than what would of been paid on the open market.

this makes the farmer produce less, since there is less benefit in it for him.

so you get taxed
government uses that tax to underpay for a product that if unregulated, would be produced more and thereby bring prices down on its own

short term you will have increased prices in those products, but long term the economy will produce more and for much cheaper

Rule of 72

When anyone talks about doubleing it is easy to calculate either the term or the percentage increase if you know the other factor.
72/11 = 6.55 calculated on a financial calculator 6.50%
72/12 = 6.00 calculated on a financial calculator 5.95%
Depending on when in 2020 you measure too, begining or end, the Government is estimating 6 to 6.5 percent growth.
The discrepency of income between rural and urban China is one of the structrural impediments to China becoming the worlds #1
economy. Given the size of the rural population even small improvements in the rural economy will greatly improve China's overall
economy.

i think you are sweet! yesterday i talked about  china farmers ' life with my friends. personally speaking, the farmer could increase their income by education.
one of my friends asked me "what do you do if you had much money?" my answer is that i would like to do three things. the first one is supporting the education of countryside. i hope that there are many good teachers who will go there to teach . the second thing is about my family. i want to make our family have a good life.the last thing is about myself. i want to be a teacher!

I don't know whether it was right, but what i learned in college is that the government would buy rice only when supply is far over demand, in order to raise rice price in market. When demand is urgent, they sold rice to keep price low.

Is that fair and good?

government involvement in the marketplace rarely has good outcomes.  We're guilty of this in the US, as we heavily subsidize our argricultural industry as well....end result?  Higher taxes to pay for the subsidy and higher prices for consumers.

my

Yes,it is emergent to extend medical insurance system and retirement amount in village.

But it is huge difficulty in china becuase of rural population.

i don‘t agree with you, because i think it’s not this reason,it‘s because the Per capita national income level lower than others。
the base way is stronger。

i had been to a countryside in northwest of china, i think the farmer of there' life have had a big change than before, nearly every family have new and big house with colour TV which even can receive the tvshow from HK and europe and some arab tvshow as they use that satellite antenna which is forbidden to use in urban.
nearly all family have washmachine, and some of them have refrigerator, and seldom have air-conditioner which is not popuar in most north area of china.

I hope this kind of policy can be really carried out in rural area.really!
Hope the land rental could be abolished in my hometown, which takes up a big percentage in our peasants' income.

How to improve rural peoples' living environment !
1、Education is very important. It can change people's view,  can teach them how to earn more money, can teach them how to enjoy their life. when they know more ,they will make more efforts. Actually, knowledge is power.
2、at present government should put more funds on agriculture. industry made more pollution. and our living environment being bad year and year.
3、should put city together, and put more land together to plant.

do you know china is one of the richest countries in the world
they can help the poor people without hardly making a dent in their
bank balance i hope they do someting soon for these poor people
after all if they have more money to spend then the economy will get
better so the government will benefit through  the taxes

it surely nice news for farmers. over the past decades, there have been great achievements in rural areas;
however, one point shall be clear that we got it with high prices.
we would be delighted at news above and exert our efforts for that target, while harsh actions must be taken
immediately to constrain certain phenomena that hurt farmers heart, for example, bribery and nonfeasance of
grassroots government departments and organisations.
without it, all is fantasy of improbable.
