most of the farmers have low sense of knowledge and leads more childern to be born ,and they haven't enough money to let them go to school . as a result the status of rural is poorer and poorer , being more ignorant than the people in the city .

i want my income to be doubled too, but the question is how?
it is never important that where is my aim. the important thing is the details about how to go there. or it is just a dream.
concerning dream, you know, we can make all kinds of dreams as you want.

chinese farmers 's burden is too heavy ,In the bad environment of international financial crisis, millons of farmers lost their jobs. It's too cruel. Besides, thousands of graduates borned in farm families will face to the challenge of Job-hunting .I hope the chinese farmer can lead a better life in the future.

I agree with you.
Yes,it is emergent to extend medical insurance system and retirement amount in village.
But it is huge difficulty in china becuase of rural population.
The CPC is leading us striding to this target~~

When I visited China last october, part of the trip took me to several villages around Kaiping City in SE China, and the standard of living in those areas is disconcerning to say the least.
As a student of real estate in the US and having talked with residents in the area, it is my understanding that farmers do not get to keep the entire crop for the year. With rice for instance, the government gets the first one, and farmers keep the second. It is also my understanding that farmers do not own their own land, rather it is owned by "agricultural collectives" and they have a "right of use" to farm that land.
If you want to increase the standard of living for rural residents in china, you need to extend the market reforms of deng xiaoping. That is, you need to allow farmers to keep what they produce and allow them to sell it on the open market. You should also allow for the furtherence of individual property rights in rural areas. With that in place, it will unleash the potential of your rural population to create new wealth for themselves and your country.
"we mustn't fear to adopt the advanced management methods applied in capitalist countries" - deng xiaoping

I've a question. i'm not familiar on economics.
Is 'rice fot instance' bought by government from farmers? Is that a good thing for farmers?

cheerful
I am glad to hear this exciting news, for that I am from a remote and poor village.
But besides the income of farmers, the medical and educational systems of rural regions are still in need of improving. And the year 2020 is a little far, so I hpoe we can achieve the goal before it.
May all the farmers in our country live happier year by year!
