The food festival was co-organized by the Thai Consulate in Xiamen and the Marco Polo Hotel. Ms Pachuen Phornmongkol – the consul general of Thailand in Xiamen, Mr He Qingqiu -- deputy director of Xiamen’s Municipal People’s Congress, and Ms Millie Tsui -- general manager of Xiamen’s Marco Polo Hotel, cut the ribbon for the festival.

"We invited four experienced chefs from Thailand especially for this festival, and I hope that you will enjoy an authentic taste of Thai food here,” said Ms Pachuen Phornmongkol.

Thai food is unique and is delicious. It boasts a variety of tastes and is also good for people’s health. And one of the main reasons that make Thai food famous is the high quality ingredients used, such as Thai Jasmine Rice.

At the Festival, the guests in Xiamen’s Marco Polo can enjoy a variety of Thai food, including tom yum soup, green papaya salad, all kinds of curry, mango sticky rice and various Thai selected desserts. In addition, the guests can enjoy Thai traditional dancing at the festival.

Guests who have the buffet dinner at the hotel are entered into a lucky draw to win a free air ticket from Xiamen to Bangkok.

Don't know what the green papaya salad 's taste would be, have yet eaten it before.
What's on your mind... Backing to the starting point all over again, lots of challenges and full of temptations. Can you grasp the opportunity?
