The lastest issue of Foreign Language World, a journal sponored by Shanghai International Studies University, publishes a paper of Professor Huang Yuanshen, a big name in China. In the article, he told us that language skills of teachers of English, believed thought important for English teaching, are at present ignored and left on the decline.

This is the truth!
Reason is many teachers do not have good foundation on the major aspects of teaching English. They themselves have difficulties in English grammar. Most of the time, they tend to explain in Putonghua to students. Instead of understanding, students are left with more Chinese than English.
