Life is not fair for the good.

So true indeed, but at the same time it's the decision they made,  so they had to live with it.
It's the spiritual values I inherited from them, and I would forever be grateful and honored for what they did, to eternity.

The good, the bad & the ugly! When crony capitalists rule, or ruin the world, things turn upside down. The good become the bad, the bad & ugly turn good. What a world we live in!

example please.

Like how your media portrait Mujaheedin guerillas as "freedom fighters" when they directed their C!A-suplied Stingers toward Soviet helicopters and planes in Afghanistan.

Yet the Taliban became terrorists in your media, when they fight occupying colonial forces coming from other part of the world.

People under religious vows, such as priests/monks and good communists hav ...

What's better way than serving as a civil servant for the betterment of great society as a whole, and at the same time, fulfilling your needs!

In the capitalist West, things like this could be quite a different, quite the opposite actually.

In America, just about every (educated) folks know about the true story of one of the best selling books of all times, "Rich Dad, Poor Dad". In the book,

Rich dad is the guy who made his fortune/money in capitalist stock market investing, selling & buying the stocks.
Poor dad is the one, dedicated his life to betterment of society and worked as a civil servant.

Needless to say, stock broker rich dad is 'glorified', while civil servant poor dad is 'marginalised' , which is a very typical attitude/norm in this capitalist & wealth-centered U.S. of A.

There ain't no such thing as IDEOLOGY in the heart & soul of Colonialist-turned Capitalist Imperialism, other than chasing and following the self-interest of greed & extraction of great wealth.

Speaking of people under religious order such as clergymen, priests, monks & nuns ..., AND people who are brought up under Socialist/Communist ideology.
They have just about nearly every thing in common in respect to their dedication to & committing themselves for the greater causes of society as a whole; other than the fact that one is doing it under religious order, and the other under ideology.

Of course, that's  only my humble opinion.

My friend, your honest opinion deserves a credit.
And bless all those who serve for common causes of society.
