China's elites should stop misbehaving.

Yes they are very very naughty and should be spanked and sent to bed without any supper

Western elites have high moral standards though, unlike chinese elites.

I agree with you only when western elites know what moral is all about

The 19th century was imperial hubris.  The 20th century was unbridled nationalism.  What be the 21st century?

It should not be a zero-sum game of i win only if you lose. This new century should usher a new era of peace, growth and prosperity.  In that same order. It will be easier this round because the milllennials who will soon be the leading force of the world are starting with less hangups about how the world should evolve.

But are the lessons learned from the past strong enough to avoid the same mistakes prodded by mischief-makers? We need a new global game-changer that takes cognizance of those mistakes of the past and skirt around them to find a new path towards more peace, growth and prosperity for all.

Such as the OBOR.  The one-belt one-road vision can be shared by and to the benefit of all. Where once there were only words of national objectives by individual governments and races, OBOR is the unifying concrete foundation of individual national aspirations transmuted into economic reality that will spur global growth to close the income disparities that have become the angst of too many today who are suffering from the effects of history, effects which continue to fester because there are still pockets of people around in some other countries who ignore the bigger picture in order to maintain the status quo of their limited local economies by which they can protect their elitism and own interest in all but name.

After all, to be rich is glorious. More who can be richer tomorrow will be more who can buy vastly more and better, spurring progress in industry and growth in commerce, lubricating the wheels of trade, harmonizing societies across borders, igniting imagination and inspiration, regardless whether they be developed or emerging nations, high or low IQs, rich or poor, this or that ideological background.

China has turned the key, switched on the engine, fired up the generator. All that is needed to surmount and eclipse all those mistrust, suspicions, angst and low-culture limitations of individual prejudices of the past is for others to also stand up and participate to make it all happen for one another.

After all, aren't all men still brothers?
