The crisis in Greece cannot be divorced from the global financial crisis.

Tax avoidance is rife in all western economies, and while due to globalization, countries are unable to bring force to bear on the culprits, it will continue.

The propaganda against Greece, follows the same pattern we have seen in the past against the Tiger economies and Argentina. It is nothing more than propaganda aimed at making the suffering imposed on the victims more palatable to westerners.

Like all the others that the powers that be targeted... the Greeks deserve to suffer and they should be shown no mercy because it is their own fault.

The fact that the financial terrorists have been sucking the world dry for generations has absolutely nothing to do with it. The fact that they (banksters) having received the bailout money decided to invest it in high yield bonds of their making is never mentioned.

The Greeks should have never been given a penny in bailouts....

Okay I see. Damn evil Anglo media caused the Greeks to pay half as much tax and have some of the lowest productivity for the low hours they work. What tiger economies are you talking about? The tiger economies are regularly praised. You are starting to sound like Petera. I can understand about the bailout but the Greeks are in the mess because of themselves and who they elect.VBlaming the evil banksters, anglos, western media or whoever else you hate is contrary to the facts.

I am not denying the facts all I am saying is that Greece has become the tit through which the banks are milking the German cow.

You cannot deny the fact that Goldman Sachs were complicit in hiding the level of Greek debt. Moreover they sought to profit from a Greek default.... talk about insider dealing.... pfff.....

One does not have to hate anyone to state the truth... what the banks had been doing was criminal, and should have been punished rather than be rewarded with bailouts, at the expense of the poor.

Yeah I do agree with that. What's worse is banks executives receiving bonuses while their banks are being bailed out.

Politicians justified the bailouts at the time on the pretext that the banks had no money to lend and business would suffer. However once the banks received the money they invested that in high yield government bonds. In effect the governments were borrowing the money that they just lend to the banks it was scandalous.

One only has to look at the conditions, imposed on the government receiving the bailouts to realize that these are not intended to help the recipient countries but to enslave them.

How is Greece ever going to be able to pay the loans at the interest they charge, while being forced to sell assets for a song? The same applies to Ireland, Portugal and Spain but to a lesser degree, because unlike Greece they do not have unexplored oil reserves.

The practice is not new...... the IMF imposed similar conditions on the UK in the 70s so that the corporations would get their hands on the North Sea oil for peanuts.

Fricke [Member of Parliament]: That's another Issue!
Mueller:...Griechenland won't [be able to] pay back it's debts. [That] Means everything we're wiring now, we won't get back a major part of that. And I'm insinuating you, that is boardering missapropriation of tax payer money what you're doing with that money. If I know that I won't get the money back, and I nevertheless send my tax payer money well aware [Gysi indicating agreement] of it not going to return, [infuriated] isn't that missappropriation!?! Mueller: ...I[...] a bank...
Fricke: You're saying...
Mueller: let me finnish.
Fricke: You're saying we were criminals.
Mueller: No...
Fricke: Misapropriation is a capital crime.
Mueller: I'm saying it's boarderlining.
Fricke: Ah, well. So is it not a crime, or is it!?
Mueller: Sue me!!

you may take notice that the people brokering stocks, the people working in banks, are citizens, too.
