Over the last decade, China has played an active and constructive role on world stage. China has done more than any other economy to pull the world out of recession. As a strong supporter of UN peacekeeping operations, China has so far dispatched some 21,000 peacekeepers, the most among the five UN Security Council permanent members. On the Korean Peninsula issue, China has played a responsible part in facilitating the Six-Party Talks which are conducive to regional security. On the Syrian issue, China has always maintained an objective position and made active efforts to encourage dialogue that are aimed at resolving the Syrian issue through peaceful means.
Together with international community, China is also playing a constructive role in addressing issues of global concerns over climate change, environment, food and energy security.
