China should start to

..................create STANDARD MILLEAGE fleet sales laws in China.

As China's automobile numbers will be huge to ensure higher standard of living, it will need to be able to MATCH VEHICLE VOLUME with expected "easy access" to "fuel sources"!

If China expects a maximum of 18 million barrels a day crude oil is reasonable, + expected supply of synthetic fuel from natural gas, naptha, even ethanol,  then it would expect up to 900 million tonnes of petrol, diesel, kerosine, fuel oil + other fuel blends.

They could set FLEET SALES MILLEAGE laws.

The 4 automobile majors, and 4 automobile minors will be given LIMITS.

We can set standards of  12km/Litre for the 2012 model sales.
It can become progressively become more stringent and set to 16km/Litre for the year 2020

If there is 300 million automobile in 2020, and fleet mileage average 10km/litre (and 20,000km average annual use)- China needs 600 m tonnes or approximately 750 to 800 m tonnes of crude oil.

if there is 600 million automobile by 2030, and fleet mileage averages 15km/Litre (and we adjust vehicle use to 18,000km average)- China would need 720 m tonnes or approximately 900 million tonnes of crude oil + natural gas distillates, naphtha or ethanol blends to suffice!

Such laws will create UNIQUE Chinese car design and FORCE new R&D solutions to the industry!

The Shenzen based Automobile

............Marque, BYD, could use it's electric car annual sales unit to help it to "meet" FLEET MILEAGE SALES targets.

Out of it's annual 800,000 over units, it could work out a system to sell vehicle units to meet the requirements. This will put pressure on the other producers such as Dong Feng, FAW, BAIC, GAIG, SAIC, Geely, Chery.

Manufacturers with "smaller" than 50,000 units a year volume could be exempted from the rules!

Global Automotive Marques

....................now need to create various regional offices for design, specifications, marketing, sales, services to MATCH the market niche characteristics.

This mean some form of "customization" for large selling marques.

We have to start observing the AGEING SOCIETIES

.........of Korea, Japan and Germany.

This 3 states in combination, possess an Automotive Marque Revenue of nearly US$ 1 trillion in 2010. The total marque sold by companies from these 3 states total almost 35 million units. We estimate the workforce, directly employed, and indirectly contracted must equal some 12 to 15 million.

The population of Japan, Germany and Korea totals about 260 million - with 130 million odd employed, with probably 26 million in the industrial sector. The shrinking populations of these three state would mean RELOCATION of more and more INDUSTRIAL work to elsewhere, especially with rising automotive needs in China, South East Asia, Russia and Latin America.

China needs to "manipulate"

................it's 4 big automobile producers - GAIG, BAIC, SAIC, FAW = with > 2 million unit a year

and it's small 4 automobile producers - Dong Feng (basically a truck company), Geely, Chery, BYD. >500,000 units a year.

By creating a FLEET SALES MILLEAGE LAW - we could create NEW TECHNOLOGIES for Chinese automobile makers.
It's truly a MASSES automobile producer, as only the ordinary worker, consumer needs to have BIG CAR FEEL, yet LOW PRICE TAG, and GOOD MILLEAGE to deal with fuel cost. This kind of technology will need RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT. China's could provide STIMULUS to the automotive company by TWINNING UNIVERSITY with the car company, so that FUNDS CAN BE FUNNELED to the industry without causing consternation about state subsidy globally!

Already in the last few weeks

................we have announcements from major automotive marque and component industry announcing new plants worth Rmb 3 billion in Malaya.

More should be forthcoming in Fujien, Guangxi, Heilonji-an-g, and Thailand if we have correct infrastructure, prepare the workers, and send investment shows to Germany, Japan and Korea!
