My next booking in February 2012 for a week

What used to be the Radio Room before modern technology

The ancient wireless transmitter which for many years kept the island in touch with the mainland was housed in the small and solid granite building in the garden behind the Old House.

It now offers self-contained accommodation for one person, right in the heart of the village.

My visit to Holy Island was only for a few hours, and it was the first time that I had been there, though I had seen it several times before, most notably from the train (the East Coast mainline).  ...

Yes Darl you are very right

My Specialist subject is Small (non vehicular) Islands West and South of UK

Lundy did have a rat problem (8 yrs ago) that took full time 'Ratters' 4 years to deal with. Glad we have that sorted now.

No, you cannot buy a property on Lundy as it's owned by the National trust and controlled (run) by the Landmark trust>> I wish I could. but life's a bummer

I have stayed in all the properties on there except 4> plus the small camp sight (that aint ever going to happen)

Unless you wanted to see the island the I can get hold of a tent very fast hmm  nice It's very small but I am sure it will be fine

Skomer and Skokholm are the other islands (featured on this thread) that you knew about when you mentioned Flatholm

Glad to see someone that I don't bore about islands
