The Japanese and Koreans should at least "help" their American Master, and work with the British Club allies

.......to secure 50% of the Asian Trade Route State's crude oil needs of 9mbd! Kuwait, and UAE produces some 4.5 mbd - so it's a big step to "reduce" seriousness of a "meltdown"! That will stabalize the situation!

cheerios!

It's "rational" for the Japanese and Korean.

It does seem - that the Arabs might TAKE ACTION against the American Dollar Zone.
Probably friends of the British, the emirates of Kuwait, UAE will welcome some "MUSCLES" from Japan, Korea to protect their territories from instability!

Crisis - THE MOB - has the tendency to GO OUT OF CONTROL.
China, South East Asia won't have problem with energy - or at least not more than 25% cut off - unlike Japan, Korea which could just lose 80% of the crude oil supplies, and a large portion of gas supplies as well!

Cheerios!

GD,

Japan has other sorrows than a coalition force. This country is deeply shocked and almost unable to think about anything but Fukushima and the Giant Tohoku-Kanto disaster. We'll probably see some changes in future. There is great hope that the established political parties will no longer dominate the landscape. Perhaps there will also be a change of mind regarding energy supply and extravagant lifestyle. Too early to tell but people realized that something has to change and rather soon.

Industry is down everywhere. Even companies in other parts of Japan cannot work with full capacity because most depend on suppliers who have been affected by the event. Many daily necessities are not or hardly available and Tokyo at nite is just a dull and dark city. All shops close at 6pm because of power scarcity. I could go and on with moaning but it doesn't help.
