The game now MOVES FAST FORWARD to the year 2100, when natural gas, crude oil and uranium trade is severely controlled by the BIG POWERS.

If Russia, Australia, Canada, South Africa, Niger has the biggest store of URANIUM.
and electricity could probably be one of the biggest energy source for the modern age!

Control of Uranium stock in Space could be critical!

Do we spend part of the US$1 trillion military-CNSA budget during the 2010-2018 period on securing this resource without the need to wage a struggle on earth with other big powers for control of this vital material!

Lot's of time to think.
Investment in the future is vital.
Now we are talking about 10% of electricity production to be NUCLEAR. With a bigger resource, it could rise to 50% of China's need!

Speeding up the CNSA plans is vital now!
Afterall, the consumer society, urbanization trend will take up a good part of the 21st century for China!

It's not paying off to get Uranium from space... better use diffrent material, for instance Thorium, which would even allow you to build liquid reactors that are far more safe and efficient (yet still need to be developed).

However, Uranium is still very cheap, so it's no problem if you buy it on international markets. Most new Chinese nuclear reactors are also built by foreign companies (e.g. the CANDU reactor) and these companies are very happy to work for China as long as China pays.

Imagine! Spending money on research to search

.......for remote monitor asteroid for uranium deposit!

Have mining equipment transported to "low gravity" asteroids
and building "automated equipment" to make it "viable" to "concentrate or enriched uranium" before

launching "enriched uranium" back to earth!
HAVE the entire "consortium" partially paid by "Tourist"!

No need to wage enormous struggle

.....for energy which are controlled by "foreign major powers" which would probably end in "WARS" eventually!

ha ha ha

An idea that might seem far fetched!
But it would create a huge range of technologies!

Quite similar to the MILITARY INDUSTRIAL strategies of the American Regime, circa 1900 to present!
and in the old days of BRITISH EMPIRE, 1700 to 1900 strategies of controlling sea routes, naval ships technology, and steam power!

ha ha ha

WILL POWER, does China possess it or would it be the ZHENG HE MISTAKE!

ha ha ha

Which power, or secondary power who could muster

......the "bravado" to achieve the "breakthrough" knowhow, technology to "break ahead" of the pack!

Look back again, if enrich uranium is cheap....
Would be cheap if "enriched uranium" is delivered back in Capsule launch from simple "kinetic guns" back to earth!

We could "synthesize" FUEL for everyday use!
