Is HONDA, China, FOXCONN, China going to be the wage referral companies?
I estimate that salaries of up to US$300 a month for assembly workers would be competitive due to China advantages!|
Just look at Foxconn, Revenue per worker is around US$100,000 per worker. (US$100 bil + revenue, and 850,000 + workers!) - meaning at Rmb1,200 a month, the salary portion approximates only 2-3% of revenue - dependent on OVERHEAD - which i presume will be very small for a such a scale operation!
(The Electric BILL for the factories must cost more than the salaries!!!!)
For Honda-JV, Revenue per worker is around US$500,000 per worker (est. US$21 bil + revenue, and 40,000 workers) - meaning the new salary of Rmb2,000 per month, would only be less than 2-3% of revenue!
Surprise that FOXCONN increase it's wage to Rmb2,000 a month by October 2010! Must be pressure from APPLE Inc.
