...the old MAMAK vs. Hai San games were returning. Together with all the racial gaming.

It does make sense, for the Mamak to raise the RACIAL, RELIGIOUS temperature GAME, as they are only about 5% of the population and located mostly in Penang, Kedah, Perak Malacca, Singapore and Selangor. With their numbers and knowing the fault lines between the Agrarian, Nationalist and Liberal Indigeneous people, raising the racial temperature would give them great leverage in political parties.

While Mamak rights should be observed. I don't think we, Malayan would like the return of the old ugly politics against the progress that we have seen in the last 7 years!

Mr. Badawi planned departure makes it easy for Mamaks to take advantage of Riau's people worried about devolving power at the federal level to the alliance of Patani and Archipelago indigeneous people! What makes it worse is the burden of incoming Prime Minister, Mr. Najib, as he is linked to the "unholy problem" of the  case of the murder of a Mongolian Interpreter linked to his aide, Mr. Baginda Razak.

I guess it would be better for Mr. Najib should let either Mr. Muhayuddin or the opposition leader,  Mr. Anwar as they have relatively less burden.

cheerios!

I have read about how Moslem are tolerant about....

....practises of NON MOSLEM. So, when a purported news about the PAS state government allowing MODERN HORTICULTURAL practise in Kedah was pounced on by the media!

In fact, i think it being practical of the PAS state government, and following true to their PRINCIPALs of being fair to minority groups resident in their state to practise better horticultural technologies that would not be objectable to their supporters while remaining TRUE MOSLEMs.

ha ha ha

But of course the real reason, is for the Mamaks to show their true worth and divide the support of Mamak, Hai San people, Hindu to vote with nationalist Patani people versus the conservative bloc that support the PAS party.

We need a December or March 2009 change.....

........to able to establish non-sectarian politics in Malaysia.

At least it would re-establish firm footing for a progressive Malaysia again.

The excessive corruption of the past must be stopped!

While i do not proposed that we "arrest old leaders" for excessive profiteering while in power. (Imagine the trouble Mr. Chen Shui Bian has to undergo for just suspected US$6 million embezzlement or Mr. Taksin of Thailand), we, Malayans are more "gentlemanly" and let the old issue rest.

However, excessive profiteering should not be encouraged in Malaya. It set bad preceedents of getting "poor quality leaders" who are out to make BIG BUCKS while in politics.

MONEY POLITICs is not good. (But of course sufficient remuneration for our leaders should continue, like Mr. Badawi's son, with a moderate size company - Mr. Badawi is really a good moderate leader, and a gentleman)

We need to have each political bloc in Malaya to learn...

...the politics of sharing. We must have two-party system with the "insurance" provided by our institutions protecting the rights of Riau, Patani, Archipelago, Hap Seng, Hai San, Natives, Mamaks and Hindu peoples!

I do find it strange that it could be MAMAKs that encourage...

....racial politics in Malaya.

It's not even Riau's. The Riau's has institutions to protect their rights, and don't mind having other groups running the federal government, as has been seen with mixed breeds and mamaks running the state! The Riau just concentrate on the key Felda, Bureacracy, Tabung Haji, PNB.

gosh!

Doctor Mahathir calls for "end to money politics" in UMNO....

....that joker Ex-Prime Minister, he is probably the biggest beneficiary in money politics.

He created so many issue in UMNO, making Tunku Abdul Rahman step down with racial issue fireworks.
Now, he calls for stop of money politics....
afterall, everybody knows that Mr. Krishnan, now the richest man in Malaya, once upon a time was his protector during his time in the wilderness...

and it's common to see mamaks surrounding themselves around indigeneous leaders...
either to support or to provide financial assistant, ie. put strings on them to behave preditably...

and the incredible influence of mamaks in UMNO especially in key Central, Hai San regions where Mamaks are numerous.

ha ha ha

in fact, in UMNO youth and wanita election, it's MAMAK vs. Archipelago indigeneous people.

ha ha ha

back to the Tun Ali Vs. Tun Perak, Malaccan historical stories....
