The Malayan government has "advised" the management....

...of State run MALAYAN BANKING to "withdraw such a RASCIST RULE" from its operation procedure!

But some damage has been done.....
afterall, whilst it's natural for the STATE RUN bank to be staffed by people linked to the Riau administration and thus affinity to use their own links...
It becomes IRRESPONSIBLE for a STATE RUN entity to issue such BLANTANT RULES which belittles the citizens of the vast majority of Malaysians!!!!!!

Then there is PETRONAS....but one would be hard press to PRESSURE a MONOPOLY of crude oil....
This is one company that majority of all the  MALAYSIAN cannot do collective pressure!

So, You have a balance! Just don't expand it too much as to CAUSE INSTABILITY IN MALAYSIA!

LEARN TO LOVE THE COUNTRY THAT YOU ARE BORN IN!!!!
AND LEARN TO LIVE WITH THE BURDEN OF HISTORY OF THAT COUNTRY!!!!

All these government-linked banks and "government-created banks" (a term which I've always use to describe the forced merger) are good for nothing.

I prefer well-run Public Bank and Hong Leong Bank although I still keep accounts in RHB and Maybank with minimal savings. Most of the money are transferred to my preferred banks.

its quite a battlefield and balancing between the power blocs in Malaya.

Example,
the Native gang tried to have their own bank, ie. RHB bank but is being forced to relinquish power in that NATIVE BANK!
the Patani gang is still trying very hard using archaic Islamic laws to create a PATANI BANK.

Mr. AdmchengHo,

i got feedback that might indicate that it might be a HAP SENG-RIAU propaganda attempt!

(They should have used AMDB....less sensitive and a real private company)

It's rather silly to use MAYBANK....this is a STRONG BANK with a STRONG BACKGROUND in RURAL TOWNSHIP BANKING. It was started by a scion of the HAI SAN in Singapore working for OCBC bank (the guy who owns Standard Chartered bank)...and it built up the largest bank network in HAI SAN regions. It was weak in the Hap Seng city regions, which was controlled by Cantonese banks.

At Independence, the Malayan Riau government took control of the bank due to it being the largest...to be the government's banker!

As for banks, personally, i use as many banks as possible!

Anyway, the Military linked bank...

...AFFFIN bank seems to have tied up in alliance with the TUNG SING's.

They have offered Bank of East Asia, a 25% stake in Affin bank!
I wonder,. what about some management control, otherwise.....it's still be useless if the members of the military or ex-military uses it as a ATM!!!!
