For so long, the STATE RUN Major banks has been making a lot of mistakes by  "by making rules that discriminative other Malayan races"....and all those companies paid by being unprofitable, unpopular with the business elite.

The major exception was the MALAYAN BANKING Berhad.

However, that PROMINENT BANK makes the same PUBLIC RELATION MISTAKE by highlighting a new rule of only favouring "Riau's" in all legal matters of the company.

Gosh.....this will have tremendous repercussion in the Malayan market as ALL THE RACES in Malaysia will seek to avoid using the bank!

Wonder whether MAYBANK would join the ranks of poorly performing banks such as CIMB, AFFIN bank, RHB?

Do they RASCIST ever learn from past mistakes?

Yup!  Maybank = Malayan Banking!

From history in Malaya, all the banks that the Riau Government acquire  forcefully, with great indignation from the other races in Malaya, always ends up in the dumps, money loosing.....and eventually dissapears!
This includes UMBC bank, DCB bank.....which resulted in the mess of RHB bank.
Then there is Bumiputra Bank, Islamic bank of all kinds.....which were forever loosing money...and now is the CIMB bank.
Only Kwong Yik, Phileo Allied and Malayan banking....now becomes Maybank has been successful by being very careful with image, and services.

"Riau" is my defination of the people of Malay stock with "culture" that originated from the Malaccan Empire.
"Patani" is also of Malay stock but are more traditional with "culture" originated from the Patani Empire at the Isthmus of Kra.

In fact, the Patani Faction of Malaya....

..has been trying to form another BANK using Gold Reserves as the value backing...in the province of Kelantan.

while other races are forming business alliances with various local or foreign banks...such as Singapore's UOB, OCBC; Britain's HSBC, SCB, Amerikan's Citibank.....and many of the large local chinese banks.

I had a bank account with

Bumiputra Bank once

I felt that they were one of the banks the goverment liked

and then there were banks it did not seem to associate with

It seemed to me that different kinds of people were doing different jobs in KL depending on their ethnicity

example:

Malays - Bumiputra Bank staff, government run organisations

Chinese- Managers/ owners of hotels, night clubs, almost all shops (except halal and Indian restaurants) and trading centers

Indians - gardners, drivers, hotel porters, curry house owners, bouncers

Is there any truth in this or is it just my false impression based on lack of knowledge?
