The dope is trying to compare China's passenger rail service to that of the USA.
Practically all of the rail in the USA is for low speed freight.
There is only one passenger rail service in the USA, Amtrak and it has to share
the railway with freight in nearly all it's routes. Passenger rail service in the USA is a joke.
If capitalism promotes innovation and creativity then why aren't scientists and artists the richest people in a capitalist nation?

Then there are European countries.... Far higher rail line concentration, especially in Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Italy, Holland.

China is so much bigger than Germany, yet it only has twice as many track kilometers as Germany. China has a long way to go... But it is going the way, albeit late, very late.

You should travel in CHina and see the country, Bobby. In 3 hours you can get to Guangzhou, in six Kunming or Chengdu. You would see China from an entirely new perspective.
