Of course even a socialist government could price water to decrease waste. It would simply need to present its case to the voters convincingly.
My problem is simple: I just know better than everyone-else!

How's the price for utilities there?

Many complain that electricity prices are too high (especially in the province of Ontario). There was some serious mismanagement by the previous government. I don't regard that to be a reason to "privatize" that utility.

Government should make esencial utilities to the people.
This should never be privatized.
In China, utilities are cheap, so people can live under less strain on their income.

Energy prices don't need comm unist tampering with. What they need is a healthy dose of rational and eco-friendly consideration. The world should look up to Germany for inspiration.

In GERMANY, home owners have been encouraged over the years to invest in solar power units that make them independent of the national grid. The German government incentivised this with subsidies or tax holidays, and what has happened? Today many people can actually sell some home-produced electric power to the grid, making the construction of new power stations less urgent.

Luckily the Germans have given up comm unist dictatorship!

As long as government regulates them strictly, utilities can be privately-owned.

I can not endorse a business that profits on the needs of essential utilities.
It like Bolivia, where a business had the rights to water.
The people could not even collect rain water.
