Chinese illegal immigrants have been known to arrive in ENGLAND by container truck. Unfortunately, ...

If true, they should be repatriated too!  But it seems you are fixated only on Chinese illegals; true to form, a racist!  This topic is not about a particular race of illegals but you keep highlighting the Chinese ones; one must wonder what your hidden agenda is!

Chinese Immigrants in Africa Struggle to Find Local Acceptance
© AFP 2018 / THOMAS NSAMA

'new Chinese immigrants arriving in the continent, seeking new opportunities away from home, are struggling to find acceptance in the local community.'

Stick to topic please, these Chinese immigrants are not the refugees we are discussing here!

'They deserve the same treatment as everyone else. Chinese refugees are no less deserving of others' love'

Hypocrite!  Since when have you fallen in love with the Chinese you condemn everyday?

I am merely pointing out that CHINA is no SAINT and CHina has every reason to reciprocate goodness with its own goodness.

I am not "fixated on the Chinese" at all. The Chinese are a people like 200 other peoples in the world, all of whom have at some time or other been refugees. We are one human family. Only a skinhead can argue the disasters that happen to other peoples don't matter to him but his problems should be the concern of everyone in the family. How much more selfish can a nation be???

There are dozens of developing countries in the world where refugees seek shelter: Jordan is one, and it doesn't complain "but we do not produce refugees"! Uganda is another, and again, the Ugandans don't say "but we never ask others to protect us". Kenya too has become the home-by-default for African refugees.

In a crisis that produces sudden catastrophes and tragedies one cannot close one's heart to the plight of others.

Unless one wants to be an uncivilised member of the human family!

This is directly linked to the plight of African refugees. The Chinese come to take from Africa to get rich, perhaps richer than they could get in China; is that fine with your moral principles? It can be, but only if Africans get the same chance to better themselves. Either in Africa or elsewhere. China does not treat Africans with kids' gloves but Chinese frequently fall foul of African laws.  But Chinese illegal residents cannot be deported as easily as African illegals in China. This is because the Chinese government is a hegemon to the African nations.

It is such relationships marked by inequality that cause refugee crises.
