You can talk to your friends about anything in the USA or in China.
But the Communist Control Act  ...

I read there IS a Communist Party of America.
(looked up the act....thanks)

There has been challenges in court.
Not sure of the significance.

Even when I taught university classes, we discussed these matters.
So hundreds of students heard t ...

I did NOT tell students to "take it to the streets".
I always tried to put China in a positive light.
Try to build "pride" in this new generation of citizens.
If they don't like something about their government, try to change it.
(because the government is theirs to guide into the future)

As for the incident you refer to...
The CPC was caught between a "rock and a hard place".
People were taking to the street wanting democracy.
Many people don't understand, the populus at that time, lived in the rural areas.
That part of the community have a overwhelming support for the CPC.
So....
They want democracy?
Then they already lost the election.
The CPC had to decide between civil war or a crack down.
It was a tough call, but they had to do it.

I've lived there almost all my life and I know.

You have been successfully indoctrinated in western schools.
This means you are very naive about how government works in the west
and even less about how government works elsewhere.
If capitalism promotes innovation and creativity then why aren't scientists and artists the richest people in a capitalist nation?

Like I said before, the law is there on the books to be used if necessary.

That tiny website and the small membership of 5,000 compared to the 325 million USA population
poses no threat to the status quo.
If communism ever became a serious threat, you can be assured, that law would be enforced.
If capitalism promotes innovation and creativity then why aren't scientists and artists the richest people in a capitalist nation?

You are correct. Communism is banned in the USA.
Look up "The Communist Control Act of 1954"
It's  ...

Thanks for the confirmation. You are right that China has multi-party system. Just recently they met up to give feedback and ideas to the government for China's development.

Here is an update. Even the government in China talks about giving democracy and more voice to the people. There are government websites set up for feedback. However it is still not what the west is familiar with. There is clamp down on websites that promote pornography, social media that creates controversies and tensions, anything that can cause chaos.
