Whereas the gov cracks down on prost*t*tion, they turn a deaf ear and a blind eye to the high profits generated by the cigarette factories. Employees of these State-owned factories have prestiges that can only be had by gov officials.

So what is the point to talk about how to control smoking while there are so many profit-making drug factories? Isn't it a big joke?

I'm told in UK one packet of cigarettes are about £9.00 equal to - $11.50  -   €10.50

In Spain I'm told they are                  €4.20

I don't think the government turns a blind eye and a deaf ear to the profits generated by the tobacco trade; in fact I strongly believe they are eyeing these profits covetously. That is why the government does not really want people to stop smoking.

My greatest smoking nuisances are bus drivers. It is so ironic that these little dictators can sit in airconditioned comfort with all dors shut at a terminus and keep the engine idling while would-be passengers wait standing outside in the heat of the sun. What is the driver doing? He is smoking. When he opens the door half an hour later, the bus is a mobile gas chamber. But woe to the passenger who lights up! He is only a passenger, mind you, not the captain of a mobiel gas chamber!

Yeah, and there are many fools in China strutting around with cigarettes in mouth, showing off they can afford it!

China's government is penny wise pound foolish; it thinks there is much tax to be collected from cigarette sales but forgets that the medical cost to the nation of its citizens stricken down by smoke related illnesses outweigh the benefits of tax!

Of course it is a big joke!  The Chinese Government is held hostage by the tobacco companies which even hinder efforts to enforce stricter regulations!
