That was true for cars but not for mobile phones, shoes, clothes, appliances and other consumer goods which are produced by private sector enterprises. So it’s not true that overcapacity in the manufacturing sector came from State investment because the excess capacity comes from the private sector which overinvested in export industries. The State in fact has already decided to relocate those excess capacity overseas and encourage domestic consumption by promoting technology and service industries. That’s the objective of “Made in China 2025” which is to reorient manufacturing industries to serve domestic markets.

Manufacturing industries consume the most energy, power and water resources thus imposing environmental costs on the host country. The goal is to upgrade the manufacturing sector with technology industries and integrate them with services industries to optimize their capacity to serve domestic markets.

I’d call it “Made for China 2025”.

Clearly China has determined the future  prosperity would be based on a robust manufacturing sector, which is always a hotbed for innovations and technological advancement.

This is the way to go, otherwise, the US, which has never sat well with potent competitors, wont' be scrambling to set up barriers to contain China's rise.

Made in China 2025 involves nine strategic tasks, as follows:

1. Promote service-oriented manufacturing and manufacturing-related service industries;
2. Restructure manufacturing industry;
3. Enforce green manufacturing;
4. Internationalize manufacturing;
5. Improve manufacturing innovation;

The above five tasks show how the Made in China 2025 plan will strengthen the industrial base through the use of information technology in manufacturing industries. Notice the important role of the manufacturing sector which is the primary focus of the strategic plan which seeks to promote Chinese brands and achieve breakthroughs in targeted industrial sectors.

What the Made in China 2025 plan wants to do is to restructure the industrial economy by upgrading the mid-stream manufacturing sector with upstream technology industries and integrating the industrial sector with downstream services industries. Thus the plan wants to reorient the industrial sector to serve domestic markets through the promotion of local brands as well as the internationalization of manufacturing industries to serve foreign markets.

This is a radical shift from the old economic model of low-cost, labor-intensive manufacturing industries serving foreign brands for export markets to the new economic model of high-value, technology-intensive industrial sectors integrating both manufacturing and services industries to serve local brands for the domestic market and internationalizing its manufacturing industries to serve foreign markets.

Made in China 2025 is made FOR China.

"" China has always tried to be self-sufficient and to reap profits from exporting. ""

This should be correctly framed as :

Chinese CPC leaders and Wall Street elite has always tried to be self-sufficient and to reap profits from exporting, using slave wage labor and ultra cheap yuan policy.

Majority Chinese 1.2 billion did not benefit from this incestous trade relationship designed by Kissinger.  The 1.2 billion chinese who are not asset owners become debt slave forever by paying forever the 70 years old leasehold apartment of substandard quality.

The same story holds true for the US where the vast majority are wage slaves saddled with a mortgage.

Are you lying your way to fame ?  By using baseless fact, you lose your credibility.  Only minority Americans who are not prudent in financial matters fall ninja loan trap.  Most Americans can have good paying jobs in construction but they are lazy to take this kind of jobs.  Property tax is high only in certain states.

Problems in US is caused by greedy Congressman who take money from whoever offer them good money in exchange for favors.
