So many of them, gathering now!

Spirits of yesteryear, echoes of the future,

About 'I wake from this dream,"---------------
人 yourself look like 'a walking man’!
Let's make or take life as simple as possible! That would save you a lot of unnecessary troubles. ---------------It is precious experience that I have learned from Mom.

Over green oceans, ever large,
Shimmering sun, beckoning waves,
Onto this land, across time,
Unfamiliar earth, yet familiar welcome....

These tired feet, a thousand li's walked,
These lonely eyes, hoary with pain,
These aching bones, dying time presaged,
Yet our paths crossed....

On this bridge, by that moat,
Near the square, on fortuitous day,
Throngs moved, voices chattered,
A thousand streams, nameless faces.
In an instant, centuries foretold,
Our eyes met, we instantly understood,
The wheel of fate, it happily paused
And then stopped - for what must start.

Your face, radiant with good nature,
Your smile, true to your heart,
Your eyes, who can forget?
Your voice, balm to all souls,
The ageless beauty, only of You
In this very special you-and-me,
Inseparable by time, devoid of space.

Alas, i must leave,
For the boat of parting is knelling its last toll,
The wind is swaying, the lanterns are flickering,
The twilight hour has finally come....
Were we strangers, you asked with trembling lips,
How could we ever be strangers, i answered sternly....

No words, just silence,
It's enough to know and feel,
Your presence, lovely evermore,
My shadow, staying after me.

And all the kindness behind the toughness
And all the love behind the roughness,
These are but crumbling walls to hide away pain,
For the wheel of fate must grind its way again.

Onto this land, across time,

Hope the carriage of fate would take you to meet the girl again.

I am a mistress of old man
Sneaky around with my fun
What about being found

Bravo!

We do have some great literati here. We have, unfortunately, too many others. Your post was a glimmer of sunshine in a cloudy, gray environment.

One hint:

When posting poems or even just verses, it is imperative that you (and all those contributors that have graced this thread with poems short and long) add the name of the original writer.

Here is an unsolicited but useful piece of advice:

Whenever anyone recites a poem, a stanza or even just a verse, it is imperative that you credit it to the original author.

I see that many posters recite published lyrics without telling us who wrote them.

That is theft of intellectual property.
