That's because your government doesn't allow you to have any other choice. Google is gone because they refused to change their search engine algorithms to please the Chinese censorship Bureau. Yahoo kowtows to whatever your masters say, and Just Ask is blocked in most parts of the country. You have no choice but to use Baidu

.... while over in China the sheople are scratching their heads to find a definition for "privacy". THey are so not used to privacy that the very word is suspicious to them. Thus the Comradely Ruling CLique find it a piece of cake stealing the last privacy off Chinese Internet users. Today they will disable all VPNs.
