It is apparent that you do not know that decent living conditions are.

In the U.S.A. many a statistically "poor" person owns a house or a caravan.

Not that many. And the few that do can only continue to do so as long as they can continue to
pay the yearly property tax on that shack.
As for a caravan.. is that with the camels or without?
If capitalism promotes innovation and creativity then why aren't scientists and artists the richest people in a capitalist nation?

Well, lucky poor U.S. Americans... They can even buy camels and travel across the U.S.A. Not in China. Don't confuse beggars with the poor! The beggars here are middle-class folks who live off their low-middle class compatriots or naive foreign visitors. The truly poor Chinese don't know that begging is a lucrative pastime and they either die off or are forced to accept work and be paid as wage slaves.

Thanks for the clarification.
I don't think the Trump administration is taxing shopping carts yet. We'll see.

I agree with Robert's criticism of the gross inequities of our current capitalist system. Unlike Robert, though, I advocate more socialist reforms to reduce the inequities and to maintain the highly-effective market mechanisms of allocating resources and money. In fact, I own a lot of shares in capitalist corporations. The solution is to increase taxes on people like me and use the proceeds to make the lower 20% more wealthy (and to educate their children so they will be more productive and rich).
My problem is simple: I just know better than everyone-else!

Taxes are toxins of political systems. The more tax you collect the more diseased the system gets.

Look at China: The beggars there are enterpreneurs. Some of them are much better off than their Foxconn worker rivals. A shrewd Chinese beggar makes money by doing nothing, more than paid workers, and untaxed. Plus he gets to socialise with people from all walks of life whereas Foxconn worker bees are under a Draconian rule that strictly forbids them to talk during their working hours. And the ruling rew dont count the beggars. They claim to have "lifted them off the ground". Believe them if you want to. I believe what I see. I don't see poor beggars in China but beggars there are plentiful. Why should the state distribute resources to them?
