Do you know what? Small towns have a very poor tax base. They have to generate income by hook and by crook. Some engage in the operation of tourist infrastructure, motels, gas stations, karaOK bars. Some auction such services off. Some sell properties. They are desperate to earn their keep and to keep their inhabitants. But not all succeed well.

Yeah, those tourists are always looking for places with plenty of gas stations.
If capitalism promotes innovation and creativity then why aren't scientists and artists the richest people in a capitalist nation?
