If you cannot afford to buy a scooter to get to work in rural China, how are you going to get to you ...

Bicycle? Much cheaper and faster.

There is basically no public transport or services in rural Australia. It is not feasible for business or government to support remote rural areas with small populations.

Being able to do many things over internet with smart phone or computer solves these problems and having bullets trains that rural citizens can catch to more populated areas for things like healthcare solves many problems for remote citizens but it will never be feasible to run a bus service or whatever for very small populations that can't even fill the bus - but an electric scooter or car for getting around their villages or whatever is fine. And yeah I can't afford a fancy scooter either so the Chinese in this remote area must be doing OK.

Bicycle? Much cheaper and faster.

I have an even cheaper option: I go on foot since our local bus hides itself whenever I am waiting at any bus stop, whether alone or with a hundred fellow would-be passengers. Our bus service is lousy and lazy, erratic and unreliable.

But we have some bus routes that see plenty of regular scheduled buses. These routes are patronized by tourists. For locals, no, there is no interest.

Any businesses in the counryside need to hand over big red envelopes to the local bobbies...
otherwise your on your own...
if you want something in life get off your backside, and do it yourself!! don't rely on others to do it for you
