On the Winter Solstice, we often make and eat dumplings in the northern part of China.  By doing so, it says that our ears are protected from being frostbitten as the dumplings look like ears. In my hometown, my mother makes dumplings by herself for us on each Dongzhi. She makes diverse stuffing to satisfy our appetites. My favorite is Chinese cabbage with pork. Have you eaten dumplings today?
