As someone who used to be surrounded by youths until very recently I noticed a very bad habit in China: many young people get up too late to find time to eat a decent breakfast before they hit their jobs. They actually think they are smart and will keep slim. Unfortunately, their stomachs start grumbling late in the morning, the sugar level in their blood drops to alarming levels and at noon they nearly fall into a coma.

My wife too has had several episodes of nearly swooning because she skips breakfast nearly every day. And then she spends up to six hours in a sofa without ever getting up. When she finally does rise out of the sofa she feels dizzy and her heart is racing.

Good advice but in China's fast pace lifestyle, it's hard to have helathy  habits.  Lots of entertaining, drinking, showing  off who can drink more, overtime, missed meals, hot spicy meals, hotpot, grilled meats,  all contribibute to poor health.

Then there are the people with the bad habit of not eating breakfast. It is common in China. People want to stay in bed until the last moment, then dash out to catch their bus to work.

You won't slim down this way. You will binge-eat later. And you will consume more junk food this way - instant noodles (because you can make a meal in the office and they are so cheap) or chocolate or chips...

Worse: people who don't eat regular meals often develop health issues. They often experience dangerously low sugar levels in their blood streams, then swoon or faint. In the long term, these incidents lead to coronary and heart conditions and shorten your life.

younger folk have an unsastiable appetite for sleep i have noticed, whilst the older folk get up early to eat and exercise
if you want something in life get off your backside, and do it yourself!! don't rely on others to do it for you
