Everything You Think You Know About Coal in China Is Wrong

“Research Note on U.S. and Chinese Co ...

Don't hype it up too high - China will continue blackening the skies with coal dust for generations to come.

on 11 December, the CD reported that a Guangzhou company had put into service the world's first ELECTRIC cargo vessel. It is capable of carrying 2000 tonnes and travel up to 80 kms after its batteries are charged. 80 klicks...

"This boat will not pollute the environment..." gushed some simplistic company head. "It will carry COAL to the COAL-FIRED POWER STATION..."

Don't hype it up too high - China will continue blackening the skies with coal dust for generation ...

Did you know that Australia is the world’s fourth largest coal producer...

Australia’s primary fuel source for generating electricity is above 73 percent...

Coal is Australia’s second largest export commodity...

About 75% of coal mined in Australia is exported...

There's ONE question I have ol'chap,    since "Coal is blackening the skies with coal dust for generations to come"...

Why isn't Australia quitting to sell their Coal;  stop polluting  the World???

Australia's carbon pollution soars, government data shows

On an annual basis, the country's emissions reached 550.4 million tonnes of carbon-dioxide equivalent, excluding land use changes such as land clearing. That tally was up 1 per cent from a year earlier.

For the March quarter alone, the 138.3 million tonnes - again excluding land use changes - was the most for any quarter since at least 2001-02. If land clearing is taken into account, the total is the most since September 2005.

Senny ol'chap; sad News indeed, isn't it!
