No, you don't come across as disgruntled, as complaining. You seem to have gained in wisdom, in p ...

I guess with all the bad things that come with getting old a few good things must happen too.
Thank you for the compliment of my wife. She is getting older too.
We've had our struggles in marriage over the past year. I simply couldn't go on working in
Silicon Valley competing with all the young turks which I once was.
She wanted to return to China. She never really caught on to life in America and with my
meager social security life in the US would be equally meager.
She used to say, when I suggested our options of retiring in the US, "So we just wait to die?"
Now I am out of my element and it is I who is just waiting to die. She now has back two of
her friends and her brother had been a tremendous help to us settling in. He still is.
Her nephew refers to her as a house cat. That was true in the US... not so much now.
Now I am the house cat.
I still get out most days to go get something to eat or because I can sense her boredom.
At first I don't want to but after getting in the taxi it becomes interesting.
After all is said and done, I couldn't live without her. Especially in small town USA where is
where I'd end up with my social security. Living by myself among many Trump supporters.
I don't want to go to hell before I die.

""Perhaps there are more Trump supporters in China than in the country you just left""

Well I'm sure there are.. but for different reasons. A weakened US makes for an easier
time for China and the rest of the far east.
