Your negative world views have the same merits of my positive one.
Point is....
We don't know.

Bash me for wanting a world that shares, has no war or poverty.
What kind of world you want???????

America is the "land of the free" (if your rich)
The "champion of democracy" (when it suits them)
...

I cannot take you seriously if you cannot divorce yourself from your cliches, adopted or otherwise.

Stop telling us what "the U.S.A." is all about - it usually is far more than you admit. But China ought to try harder and learn from the world's best, not from just another "super power". Super powers do not monopolise morality.

Here is an idea.....
Lets start a thread having a friendly debate Seneca vs UYA on "How to build a better world".

It seems you have an opposite view than mine.
So such a conversation would be interesting.
and....
We can let the good people on the CD weigh in along the way.

Wrong. We DO know

Enforced sharing does not breed love. You, UYA, just have to accept that today's generations know from past experience.

Is Xi a good thing or a bad thing for China? Most likely bad, but time will tell.
He is on the pat ...

Who cares if he turns out to be an autocrat as long as he delivers!  And so far he has delivered, especially his house cleaning efforts, "caging tigers" , "swatting flies", and "hunting foxes", to bring home corrupt officials who had fled overseas!
The Chinese people give him the thumbs up for a job well done, so who are we to say otherwise?
I would rather have a leader like Mr Xi who plans ahead, to take the nation into the next decade and beyond, instead of Western politicians who look to the next election, and promise freebies to get elected!

we have had this discussion several times.

It is a little arrogant to think you can create a "better world" than the only one you have experienced.

A better world would have to be inhabited by better people, and we won't get better ones than the people we have on Planet Earth today.
