J-20 is old time, tender...
This, is what you and I are likely wishing
and have our fingers crossed on. Let's see if the call this guy made
here is going to come true. Hope it does.
And, as CG depictions past and present of what our 轰20 might look like, given the various
descriptions given of it, I'm speculating that this beast is going to more be in the natures of the XB-70 and Tu-160 but one with a 21st
century theme to it exactly the surprise given us of the J-20 than it is a soecimen of a B-2 configuration...
Bookmark mybwords and see if Inam right on this one.
"If they surprised us and the world along with it
with a pure Darth Vader like specimen for a J-20, no telling what they are capable
of giving us for a 轰20 so keep your fingers crossed."
Logical deductions: the PLA/AF had stressed time and again that 轰20 will be long range.
What I understand for them to mean by this is that its continental range (translation lost) meaning range of XB-70/Tu-160/B-52.
Although they deem B-1, Tu-22, B-2 stealth as long range, these are actually medium range systems requiring aerial refueling to truly
qualify as continental. We already have a systems that equals those of the latter, our 轰6K.
Another clear give away is that they (PLAAF) had stressed that it'll be a beast of high
Mach numbers. That can only be achieved with sleek designs as the Tu-160 because aerodynnmics matters here.
The B-2 design isn't very aerodynamic. The B-2 will flip over on its belly if it get even close to supersonic speed therefore, to zip along
at Mach 2 / Mach 2.5 (speculative) and of continental range, XB-70 /Tu-160 are the only options...
Also, in times of conflicts,
tankers are very very vulnerable therefore medium range B-2 specimens are
not a reliable option to have...
