China is kind of used to be accused on wotever she does. Wot the hell, China don't care, it's not Ch ...

The negative news from western media and one-side information from some books are making misunderstandings over the Tibet issue", pro-China Austrian lawmakers reportedly said last month in a meeting with a delegation from China.
The report said that "many Austrians obtained information regarding Tibet from 'Seven Years in Tibet', written by Austrian writer and actor Heinrich Harrer, who went to Tibet in 1946 and was found a member of the Nazi party in 1996."
It is not easy to obtain positive news in this regard," said Johan Hubner, a member of the Austrian parliament, emphasizing U.S. media's influence on the direction of European news reports on Tibet. The report said that "Hannes Jarolim, another member of the parliament, suggested that an exhibition on Tibet should be held in Austria to show the real situation of Tibet to the Austrian people."
In the meeting with Chinese delegates, the event indicates that the pro-China lawmakers spoke in favour of China.

There are many other examples of how misinformation leading to misunderstanding and mistrust of China has led to antagonistic stands against China.

One latest example is of the Indian journalist who had complained about China taking too much lead in a BRIC's secretariat only to realize his error when it was explained to him that since it was China which had originally suggested its formation, the members had left it to China to set it up in Shanghai and be run there which however in no way diminished the role of the other members since the equity of voice in the body was constituted to be the same for others who could also assume the seat by rotation.

On the other hand, maybe it wasn't a real error on his part as a voice representing Indian thought since he had also offered to say it was good China had agreed to foreign credit rating agencies to be established. It should be lost on no one that the suggestion was from the US since those agencies are mostly american in formation so one should ask instead why would India be happy with a US request on China?

It was also futile waiting for him to say something about how India could also contribute to BRIC through India's own jugaad version of innovation which could help the poor in not just the countries involved but also those in other countries. The focus on self-centricity brought about by fear of being hemmed in is inexplicable since India is bordered by fewer neighbors than China.

Meanwhile China today is facing other countries in the world who are not necessarily honest in their real dealings with her.

Some because they don't want to find out the real facts and think through what they are demanding.

Others because the stands they take against China are based on unfounded fears and personal prejudices unsubstantiated by facts and that leads to imagined threats magnified by sinophobic posturings outcome of being zealous of China's can-do and global success that they presume would upset the cozy status quo they want to maintain in the interest of specific lobby groups within their own governments.

Yet there are already some others which agree to a deal and then renege on China in other areas immediately after the handshake. Such arts of the deals stand reason to be labeled stabs in the back. Unfortunately for them, they can only do it once. For others would have seen and learned as well.

Perhaps it is time for China to review how her global public relations with other countries can be conducted. Confucian institutes may teach the culture of the golden mean but it seems some countries are wont to ignore it when it serves them the most to appear diplomatic on the surface but show their true colors below.

Thanks for your input markwu....
However, the answer is simple...
As long as them other Countries prosper and make money, no backstabbing required...

A better deal; in their opinion by whoever will get that dagger out again...

It sounds primitive, perhaps even far fetched but one must remember; it's not the people but greedy weapon manufacturers and their representatives in the whiteHOUSE.

Remember, during WW2, your parents were bleeding to death on the front while the 'HAVES' were driven to the opera.

The order: don't bomb them....

C, there's more to it and it pays to do a bit of background research.

It was more of a backhander for Greece than a diplomatic jibe at China... but both.

China, foremost Cosco, invested heavily in Greece and Cosco will be using Greece as the entrepot for the EU. China represents a steady stream of income and jobs for Greece.

Greece was to all intent and purposes bankrupt and she was handled roughly by the EU, but the ECB and Germany did agree to help bail out Greece. There was a lot of bad blood and resentment between Greece on the one side and the EU, in particular Germany, on the other side.

When the EU wanted to pass a motion to censure China for human rights abuse, Greece vetoed that motion. It happened a couple times. Greece was obviously concerned about upsetting the Chinese, but it seems to me that it is a Grecian payback for when the EU humiliated Greece and brought the country to it knee.

The EU then told Greece they must speak with one voice where China is concerned. Hence the news banner that Germany accused China of trying to divide the EU.

It is in China's interest to have a united EU.

Makes sense now?

I didn't know you are a poodle. Wow, wow! Now please prick your ears and come to my foot and be quiet while I tell you the news:

The E.U. welcomes overseas investment and the E.U. is a free market unlike the Chinese one. Even so the Europeans set the rules and the Europeans foot most of the bills for the reconstruction of countries that were left behind due to poor domestic management, mainly because they were subjugated to  failed Soviet communism.

It goes without saying that if Hungary and Serbia receive subsidies from Brussels they have to meet E.U. standards. If they want to quit the E.U., why not? Good luck if they think CHina will be a generous partner in their development.

We can't allow members of the E.U. to seek external partners for cherry-picked projects and leave the more mundane afairs to be financed by the E.U.

If yes, when would German and US investments be flowing into those countries? After the german friesian cows have come home? If no, can one expect teutonic fairplay if it exists to be displayed with an apologetic retraction

Now you are pretending to be a cowboy? You are ridiculous and your post smacks of pure racism again. NOthing new from you except the belief you are a Friesian cow now!

The people from all E.U. member states have total freedom to move intra Europe in search of better paying opportunities. And they do. Poles and Rumanians and Czechs and Hungarians and Serbians are easy to spot in Germany or in France. They make a lot more money there than they could back in their home countries. Would China give them the right to work in a Foxconn factory???

China is not interested in these people. It merely sees economic opportunities and it also is driven by strategic ambitions. It exports its untrained workers to do construction work abroad.

Government-to-government deals are suspect and usually involve nepotism and corruption. These are scourges East Europe is slowly coming to grips after 25 years of being liberated from Soviet communism; now should we allow China to bring it back in through the servants' door???
