The latest news from Europe says the EU is targeting US tech giants such as Google, Facebook, Apple, Amazon, etc. by taxing them where they generate their revenues instead of where they book their profits. Some 700 US companies reside in low-tax haven Ireland where they book their profits from their revenues generated in the EU.

I don't know what they talking about, but I do know the fact that, the West had been dividing just about every part of the world through their 'divide and conquer, divide and rule' strategy for ages.

An example of how China is influencing European politics:

The Chinese COSCO company is now running Piraeus port. Labour unions were strongloy opposed to the Chinese management. The authorities kept the workers on their payroll the Chinese hired new hands. The Chinese soon handled twice, thrice, then four times the volume of freight the old stevedores did that were working under the old contracts. Although the port workers used to make 1800 Euros a month, the Chinese paid 1200 but succeeded in getting them to work more efficiently. This was possible because the workers had one-year contracts, so they could be terminated and be replaced while the old workers earning 1800 Euros had endless contracts. Today the Chinese employ 3000 workers. When they took over, the labour union represented 1000 workers.

So in a nutshell: the Chinese have brought efficiency and profitability to Piraeus. They have been on a steady expansion. New installations have been commissioned. And only "five to six" people are Chinese - says Mr Fu, the head among them.

It is elsewhere that the Chinese influence can cast a chilling shadow. In Brussels, for example. Recently the European Union made several political declarations. One was a condemnation of human rights violations. (I don't remember which country it was about, possibly it was ARussia over the Crimea issue). The notable exception was Greece.

   Conflict of Interest, that's it.

Capitalist nations prioritize on behalf of the Wealthy first, while People's Republic nations prioritize on behalf of People first.

Carrot & Stick,Bunny & Bully: What happen to bunnies if the bullies carry big sticks, and get to hold of almost all the carrots around? That's our world, now and then.
