We know how China came to be the occupier of Tibet; the Chinese on the other hand have forgotten how it feels when the neighbor casts covetous eyes on your parcel of land.

Interestingly, the Chinese today rule over a country that is not theirs because the rulers of that country in the 18th century asked Manchu-occupied China to help them get rid of Nepalese invaders. The Manchu-Chinese came, and they Chinese stayed and were kicked out but they came back again.

The Nepalese, however, also had territorial quarrels with Sikkim and Bhutan at the same time. The Chumbi Valley for example by right belongs to Sikkim but is now occupied by China. Bhutan too was bigger in the past but Bhutan does not make any claims to territories it has lost. The Chinese are the only unreasonable interlopers who wish to change the current relatively peaceful coexistence of different nation-states.
