You are not one iota cleverer today than on the day you were born. Pathetic. In the Galapagos sharks are a PROTECTED species. BUt where there are Chinese there is no other biological life. Chinese act like locusts.

Japan has killed 333 minke whales—including more than 200 pregnant females—as part of this year's Antarctic whale hunt.
Sea Shepherd is calling it quits on its 12-year ocean campaign to stop Japanese whalers in the Southern Ocean, saying it cannot match Tokyo’s technological and economic power.
“For the first time ever, they have stated they may send their military to defend their illegal whaling activities.”
Instead of supporting Sea Shepherd the Australian government has been supporting the Japanese whalers by harassing Sea Shepherd and obstructing Sea Shepherd’s ability to raise funds by denying our charitable status...
In July Japan introduced new whaling laws, allowing government agencies to send whaling ships to the Southern Ocean to disrupt activists.

Norway sets its own quota for the number of whales its whalers are permitted to kill for commercial reasons. This number has gone up and up, from being allowed to kill 671 minke whales in 2002 to more than 1,000 today. However, in recent years, less than half of this self-allocated catch limit has been taken.

Norway is now hunting a higher proportion of breeding females which could put the long-term survival of minke whales in the North Atlantic in severe danger.

    Iceland

Like Japan, Iceland initially conducted a 'scientific' whaling programme. Then, in 1992, it withdrew from the IWC. When Iceland re-joined in 2004, it included a clause in its re-entry that spoke out in objection to the whaling moratorium.

In 2006, Iceland resumed commercial whaling, targeting minke and fin whales. In 2010 alone, Icelandic whalers killed 148 endangered fin whales and 60 minke whales.

Some one has to consume toxic whale meat

norway whale kill.jpg
This is exactly what Norway plans to start doing this April, when the country commences its annual whale hunt in the Arctic. This year, the goal is to kill 999 minke whales, which is higher than last year's quota of 880.
Norway is currently the largest whaling nation in the world, killing more whales each year than Iceland and Japan combined.
Another unfortunate facet of the hunt is that that Norwegian whalers they tend to go after females - and most of them are pregnant. In fact, 90 percent of harpooned whales turn out to be pregnant females, according to new documentary about whaling in Norway.

Few people in Norway actually want to eat whale meat, so the demand is low, and Norway ends up exporting most of the meat to Japan.

What have YOU done to save even one minke whale? Nothing. Just grandstanding. The thing that Chinese ruling cliqueteers can do so well. It's time  to stop the specicides the Chinese locusts have been committing worldwide, in the oceans, in the continents and especially in China itself.
