(Yahoo) In the 2017 Pew Research Center security threats survey released this week, nearly 42,000 people in 38 countries ranked eight threats, with the militant group and environmental shift topping the list. When you look at the results country by country, however, some interesting nuances emerge.

First, the US, most European countries, and Russia see ISIS as the foremost security concern. This was the case last year, as well. But a growing number of people, particularly those in Africa and the Americas, are now saying that climate change is a bigger threat to them than terrorism, cyber attacks, the refugee crisis, or the economy.

In countries that are hurting economically, like Venezuela and Greece, survey respondents predictably said the condition of the global economy was their biggest concern. While many Middle Eastern and European countries are still grappling with the worst refugee crisis since World War II, only Hungary listed it as the top threat.

People in South Korea and Vietnam both listed China’s power and influence as the main security issue facing their nations. And while it didn’t rank as the top threat for any nation, more people now say they worry about the United States’ power and influence than in previous years before President Donald Trump took office.

Worldwide, only 22% of people said in a separate Pew survey that they have confidence in Trump, compared to 64% when former President Barack Obama was in office. Similarly, 49% now have a favorable view of the US, vs. 64% at the end of Obama’s presidency.

US is behind this scheme!
US has tried all means to nullify the strength and growth of a rising China in all aspects but failed because it itself is the single only nation that wants to be the NATION SECOND TO NONE!
Unfortunately, US being an expert in spreading rumour and ill speak makes China its victim and bear all the negative effects and impression.
Unless the world sees and knows the truth by peeling the layers upon layers put by US to cause incorrect image of China, the world suffers at the hands of US!

Economy for me..

US does not want to be second but SECOND TO NONE!
The price may be high but worthwhile because US knows the problems and troubles when it is second but not second to none.
China economy could grow but is still not able to fully develop into a really strong economy that coud cushion off drastic economic changes within short notice.
US economy could because of its past seventy years on the world platform with full dominance in all fields.
So, the threat is US not China, but the world could not see!

Rest easy there. The US is sadly doomed. China will be number one in the years to come.
