I do not think this is a good idea.

Note that this extraordinary "offer" is being made after Rodrigo DUterte vowed everlasting love to Jinping. In other words: China feels it is doing the beleaguered Philippine president a favour that helps him stay in power.

Chinese employers will ruthlessly exploit these young women.

It's been happening in Hong Kong for decades. China will only be worse as there is no law enforcement there.

You are right - for the time being it is illegal to employ foreign domestic helpers.

But it has been happening for a long time, especially with Filipinas.

Even the staid CHINA DAILY used to carry free adverts for domestic helper agencies. They used to hire Filipinas on business visas. The pay was the same as for domestics in Hong Kong: ca. 3600 yuan a month, free boarding and food. BUt endless work hours...

Why would a rich Chinese family need a English speaking maid to live in a country where English is hardly spoken. Shouldn't they look for maid who can communicate better
