We have probably all shared a bath with our siblings when we were little and we now do the same with our own kids.

But when is the cut-off point? What age should children stop getting a bath together?

It is a question that you don't think about at first, but as your little ones grow you have to consider what age is too old to bathe together, especially if your kids are the opposite sex.

Bath time for baby doesn't last forever, so change must come as bodies and boundaries change. But when?

Should it even be an issue at all, or should mums and dads just follow their kids' lead on whether brothers and sisters still want to share that personal space?

Many parents see no harm in children sharing a bath, unless the kids are reluctant to do so, the MEN reports.

Mum Abbie Crawford, says her daughter Summer-Adele, five, and one-year-old son Spencer-Lee bath together and she can't see that changing for the next few years.

She said: "I think until my son is about two or three they can continue to have baths together.

"She'll probably make her own mind up when she wants to stop. She usually asks for him to go in the bath with her because she likes to play with the ducks and toys with him.

"She doesn't like being alone but I think in two or three years she might want her own space."

She added: "My daughter also gets in bath with her nanna. I don't see a problem and if people do maybe they need to think about why they see it as such a problem."

Rebecca Martin says her three children, aged six, two and 10 months, all bathe together and when they choose to stop 'in their own time' then their 'privacy will be respected'.

She said: "We all have bodies, just with different parts. Until one of them asks to go in separately they'll have a bath together.

"I also think saying it's inappropriate creates issues that don't need to be created."

Mum Kirsty Myers, is mum to son Taylor, 11, daughters Lily, nine, Anneleece, six, and Faith, two and five-month-old son Hunter.

She says her brood will either have a bath together, or sometimes with her or with grandparents.

She said: "They still bath together and sit on the toilet talking to each other. Leave it up to them.

"They all still bath with me. My boy washes my back. I don't see an issue in any of it. My parents still do it now, my kids get in shower with grandparents."

She added: "When any of mine ask questions I answer honestly with their ages taken into consideration.

"My eldest has just hit puberty and I tell him truthfully about anything he asks. For the simple reason I never want them to feel the need to hide anything, good or bad."

Lauren Brooks says her daughter Maisie, seven, and two-year-old son Romeo are happy to bath together.

She said: "I don't see any problem until my daughter is ready to shower by herself.

"They always ask to have a bath and if one gets in, the other's not far behind. They have done it since my little boy was born. Maisie used to have a bath with her older sister until she was about eight."

Hayley Mansell said her children told her when they wanted to start bathing separately.

She said: "I stopped bathing my older kids together when they asked. My daughter is 11 and my son is nine so it's been a few years now."

Do you think it's fine for siblings to bathe together? Would you stop them doing so once they reach a certain age?

When the little girl asks "Mom, can I have the thing between my brother's legs" and has no more interest in pretty dresses.
I forgot how to forget.
