PLAN universities have establish semiconductor design and research facilities on mature Analog chips.
such as analog to digital converter, power management, sensors, opamp, filters,  moitor drivers. Radio Frequency transmitter/Receivers. Those are all mature products and won't be too difficult.

PLAN chips will be used on Chinese military hardwares. ,

This way, it will better focus and take away from the commercial sectors as too many foreign companies have dominated the area.

But PLAN military area, foreign companies cannot come in  interfere and monopolize therefore achieve better result.

PLAN wants its semiconductor chips to be self sufficient and independent.

And Toshiba,  the  the world's EX biggest maker of NAND memory chips is selling to  Western Digital Corp.  (WDC).
